The Ruby Hill Tunnel Project is located in Eureka County in north central Nevada, and is approximately 250 miles (400km) by road east of Reno and 90 miles (145km) by road south of Elko. The project is about 3 miles (4.8km) southwest of the town of Eureka, on the eastern side of Spring Valley and on the northwestern margin of the Fish Creek Range. It is in the Eureka Mining District, first located in the 1860’s.
